Rumor of toki pona workshop at Easterhegg in Germany
Re: Rumor of toki pona workshop at Easterhegg in Germany
To stress the point yet again, the purpose of tp is not to define every word in English in a phrase, but to get to the right thing in a context. What works for "God" in one context may not in another and also may work for something completely different in a third. Notice Clown Pants's example just above and then consider trying to use 'jan sewi' in a modern theological discussion, which begin with the understanding the the old three-tier world is obsolete, that God is not a spatio-temporal object and yet is everywhere present, ... .

Three tier world?
Re: Rumor of toki pona workshop at Easterhegg in Germany
Heaven above, earth here, Hell below -- maybe some subdivisions, but that is the basic scheme.

You can use "jan sewi Jawe" to specify that you mean the god of Abraham.

Of course, the original point was that "God" in Gen1 is Elohim, "gods", not JHVH/Adonai, "The LORD". Hence all the plurals (or not, there is some controversy about the whole thing here). And 'sewi' would seem out of place before there is up or down. Fuss-budgetry.
