did someone read this book? The russian translation is now available and my problem is to buy or not to buy

On the one hand, Bach has a good reputation and has done insightful work. On the other hand, semantics, in the sense implicit here, is highly formal, so this book, if it's title is serious, will be an overview, without much in the way of useful tools. That can be very useful, of course, if your interest is just to understand a bit of what is going on, not to get too deep into the nitty-gritty. The Amazon entry shows a number of other books in the same area, so some comparison might be worthwhile ( except I don't know what is available in Russian --nor how much of this and related stuff is going on inRussian altogether). And many of these books look pricey to me.
