Re: אהבת עולם / olin suli
Juxtaposition for possessives, not usually pi. <-- edit. Wrong. Not supported by corpus. Sorry.tenpo ale la sina olin e kulupu pi jan Jawatu. sina sona e nasin pona
tawa mi mute. lape en kama(?)la mi mute li toki e nasin pona sina. mi
mute li musi poka nasin pona sona. nasin pona sona li lon e mi
mute. suno en mun la mi mute li pilin e nasin pona. tenpo ale la mi mute
li olin e sina. sina olin e kulupu pi jan Jawatu li wawa.
I'm predicting someday there will be well defined situations when the final pi-phrase is followed by one word, but it hasn't been worked out yet. For the moment, the final pi-phrase needs to be followed by 2 words (middle pi-phrases might be followed by only 1)
What did you have in mind for "lape en kama la"?

Re: אהבת עולם / olin suli
Ah yes, I forgot that rule. ^_^
The phrase used in the benediction is essentially "Therefore in our laying downs and in our risings shall we be joyous in your statutes." I thought of using tenpo ale la, but I didn't feel like it expressed the significance of what the original was trying to say, even though indeed it would have been less ambiguous.
pona.

Re: אהבת עולם / olin suli
Then it would be something like
lape en lape ala la
or
lapa en sewi la
lape en lape ala la
or
lapa en sewi la
Re: אהבת עולם / olin suli
or more literally ('lape' is for resting):janMato wrote:Then it would be something like
lape en lape ala la

anpa en sewi
Re: אהבת עולם / olin suli
Even 'kama supa en kama sinpin'
