Yup, hard to make generalizations that are true, hard to forecast who will sign up to the mailing list (vs others). This is what i see all the time on this forum here. New people came, and get corrected. On the forum it has some cold effect.
On IRC we don't really acts the same way, but this is inherent to the media.
There is two ( or more ) tp communities that don't act the same.
Correcting people is like teachers at school. I hope we won't lose people who don't like this.
Re: Marketing, announcing the mailing list
I'll try to get it into the tokipona(.net) website. ma pi toki pona doesn't have a kulupu pi jan lawa -- this may be why it's successuful (mostly absent leadership didn't screw up anything) and it may be why it keeps getting quiet (leadership isn't moving anything forward, nor sideways, nor anything)
Re: 2nd Life & toki pona
Super idea, esp regarding context, I wish my brief interest in 2nd life had happened at the same time toki pona stuff was going on.
