You can't simply....
A bit challenging quote. How would you say that?

Re: You can't simply....
Yes, the 'kin' placement was not good enough for me. But I was sure, that 'ken' doesn't require 'li'.. That's better?jan_Anti wrote:pona a!

Re: You can't simply....
Being a troglodyte, I miss all the cultural references here. What is the challenging quote (who is that guy -- he's in some Medieval/Renaissance show, but there are so many of them)?
The first picture has two long word clusters, apparently nouns though maybe verbs. I assume they are meant to be sentences with, say, a 'li' after 'jan' and an 'e' before 'ni'. The second is maybe an imperative, lacking initial 'o'? The second note says "no" to the latter, making it an infinitive with 'ken' (which can, however, be a transitive verb "to empower"; it just doesn't make much sense here).
So the second picture works fine, though I still don't see the point of the 'kin'.
Third picture. "A different language? I don't think" presumably with "so" 'e ni'.
Cat: I assume the picture stands in for the subject here (interesting)
Scream: missing 'o' or 'li'?
'Crat: Missing 'li'? "forgets"?
Brat: 'nimi 'pi''. (names are adjectives).

Re: You can't simply....
(Continued)
The 2nd one: "Learn all the words." http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/x-all-the-y I guess I should've put an 'o' there.
3rd: "Learns all the words of toki pona ... and it's gone." http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/and-its-gone
4th: "He forgot "pi". I destroyed his house." http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/disaster-girl This one is a bit iffy, as I wanted to say "he forgot to use "pi".
5th: "What if my red ... is your blue" http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/conspiracy-keanu
I think fragments should be tolerated to some degree, maybe following these guidelins? viewtopic.php?f=12&t=2202
