I hope I can write in English for today at least. I was studying Japanese on Memrise when someone suggested Toki Pona as a hobby. I do find it almost relaxing compared to where I am with Japanese, like a holiday. But I suspect that I will need someone to speak it with before very long and wanted to introduce myself.
I am a retired man living alone in a college town, taking Biological Anthropology at the university. I only speak English and a very small amount of Japanese and even less Spanish, Norwegian, and Mandarin. I find languages very difficult, but then I only started these last few years.
This is long enough already. I hope to learn a lot here, but please be patient with me.

Glad to see you are hanging in. I worried a bit when you took your marbles off the Facebook page.
