Postby janMato » Fri Mar 19, 2010 6:33 pm

mi wile toki mute taso toki lili li jo e suli taso pi kalama lili 140.

Vowels dropped unless it would cause a clash.
m wl tk mt ts tk ll l j e sul ts p klm ll.

Drop ends of long words
mi wil tok mut tas tok lil li jo e sul tas pi kal lil 140.

Space dropped on clitics (li, e, la, pi)
mi wile toki mute taso toki lili lijo esuli taso pikalama lili 140.

All spaces dropped.

2 letter codes
mi wi tk mt ts tk ll * jo ~ su ts @ ka ll 140

Unicode/Dingbats
⇊❣ᑈ◦ᑈ ▵↴⧈↱▽◦⟄♪▵140.

Unicode digbats have the best compression ratio. ~15 characters. It's about impossible to tell if there are spaces between the dingbats or not, even when there are spaces. If an entire civilization was using toki pona, they'd switch to dingbats-- faster to type.
For some reason, it's easiest for me to read the versions with endings dropped or with all spaces dropped.
