The first one is "why not".
It is quite natural to suggest:
seme ala?
After all, most tp vocabulary is modelled upon English.
toki pona li telo e toki ante seme?
In this sentence I used telo as meaning "to draw", as water is usually drawn and I think that the width and breadth of the existing vocabulary should be extended further.

Toki Pona li wile awen pona. kulupu pi Toki Pona li ante e sona pona(Not sure how else to say that) pi Toki Pona la Toki Pona li ante ike.
Toki Pona needs to stay simplistic. If the Toki Pona community changes the simple thinking of Toki Pona it will be ruined.

'ala tan seme' seems more natural (but that may just be English again)
'telo' for "draw (as water) is irregular but makes a sort of sense. I would have used just 'kama jo'
To the (I suppose) rhetorical question, the obvious answers is French and then, in vocabulary several others as well.
