In Pije's lessons, he mentions the sentence structure x li pi y, or basically y owns x. Is this still used at all, and more importantly, in the state the language is in, is it still valid?

I don't know of any uses of it in the corpus since I got here and I suspect most people would not recognize it, or would reject, it if they did. It goes back to a time when 'pi' was only possessive, not a general grouping marker for modifiers.
