Common Abbreviations in TP

Post by janMato »

Someone asked if there was a list of common abbreviations. Unfortunately, I can't think of any tp abbreviations, all the abbreviations we use are English (or French inspired, like vi and vt). Maybe etc. = i.m.a (ijo mute ante)?

tp = toki pona
DO = direct object, e + a noun phrase
PP = prepositional phrase
S = sentence
NP = noun phrase, e.g. nimi kule pi nimi kule
VP = verb phrases-- li plus some stuff, usually including up to the first preposition.
VT = transitive verb
VI = intransitive verb (someone must have had French in mind)
M = modifier (depending on which mental model you have this is almost any word in modifier position, or a just protypical modifiers, eg. laso)
N = noun
POS = part of speech
TMP = time manner place. tempo suno ni la mi moku wawa lon tomo moku mi.
