I can't find my copy, so I am guessing at much of this,

"At a [thing] time, {'ijo' doesn't mean "some" or the like, those are implicit in any noun} Bilbo Baggins of a boxy finished building {prob 'tomo pi pini poki' "house of bag's end" or just transliterate the house name, too.} said that he want to become amusing {prob -- from context -- 'pana e kama musi' "throw a party"} because for the 111th time he had circled the sun" {or just 'tenpo ali luka luka wan la' "111 times".} {= it was his 111th birthday}. Because of this important event, fellow country men said a lot him {? "talked to him a lot" 'toki mute tawa ona' or "talked a lot about him" toki mute e ijo ona' ? and even made merry because of him/ made fun of him."

"Bilbo had a lot of money and was strange looking. For a very very very long time { the 'mute mute (mute)' construction is not official tp, but is becoming common for extremes. 'suli' is probably better than 'mute', but that is interpretational}, countrymen made fun of Bilbo. This {'ni' rather than 'ona' since it is the whole situation, not a particular word being referenced here} was because, in the past, Bilbo went away. But he came home in a little while. Everybody felt his absence. But nobody waited for his coming. When he came home, {now need 'ona' again as subject of second sentence} he had much money. Therefore, Bilbo became important in the town. Everybody talks this man {surely 'toki e ijo pi jan ni' "talks about this man"} and thinks that the hill of house of bags end {see above} great quantities of money { prob 'mani pi suli mute', depending on how money is considered: as a mass or as individual pieces} If their talk was not really important, Bilbo had a good body. {pro. some other connection here than "if... then ...", but not clear what}. Amusingly, this happened. The time came {context looks more like "Time passed" 'tenpo li tawa'} but time did not damage Bilbo. He always looked the same. For a little while, people said that he was goodly strong. But maybe talk about much goodness is this {prob "kama ni" "became this"} he is not goodly strong and does not even change {prob needs 'e'} his body. A few people {don't need 'pi nanpa'} feel bad because of this. These think that the power of in time {? not sure what meant here} and {'kin' prob after 'mani'} are bad for another person. They (or he) cannot be good.
People say "In the future he will get evil. This is not good. Evil comes because of this, alas!."

Sorry I lost this in some mess. Happily there is not much in need of tidying here. Thanks for the effort.
