If Lope insists that the word after 'pi' has to be a noun (which is often a little hard to do) then at least he should allow that that it can be a verbal noun: here 'moku ala soweli' ('ala' is apparently an adjective now by his rule. as is 'soweli') is "animal no eating", which probably can plausibly twist into "abstention from eating animals". So, as often, that grounds for rejecting the phrase doesn't apply. His objection to the original still does hold, of course, though it is incomplete.
'mi pilin e jan pi wile sona mute a a a!' jan is not a pilin, so prob: 'mi pilin e ni: mi jan pi wile sona mute'
