This guy is giving me grief. Can't even look at them! I feel like I should talk to them.jan_Pusa wrote:tenpo ni la jan ni li pana e(?) pakala! mi ken ala lukin ala e ona!
mi pilin e ni: mi wile toki tawa ona.
sina pilin e seme tawa ni: mi toki tawa jan pona poka ona anu wan taso la mi toki tawa ona
What do you think about this, I talk to their surrounding friends, or just as a singular unit, I talk to them?
mi sona ala e ijo pi pana pakala.
ni li lili ala lili? ni li lilli la o awen sona ala e ni.
ni li suli ala suli? ni li suli la o pali e kulupu nimi pi sona wili tawa jan pona poka ona. jan pona ona li pilin ala pilin e sama? ken la jan pona ona li sona e ni: tan seme la jan li pana e pakala.
tenpo kama la kama lili e pilin wawa. ni li tenpo pona tawa toki tawa jan pi pana pakala.
(keep in mind, my advice is driven in part by which sentences I can say in tp!)
English gloss:
I don't know the thing that gives insult. Is this a small thing? If small, forget about it.
If it is big, give a sentence of desiring knowelge to the friends surrounding this person. Do they feel the same? Maybe they know why this person is giving grief.
In time, the feelings will become smaller. That would be a good time to talk to the person who gave insult/grief.

'ni li lili ala lili. lili la ... o awen sona/ pilin ala' and then the "about" part.
ala la ... Make with him a phrase of intentional wisdom for a friend? Not at all sure what this advise is, but it doesn't look good. 'pilin e seme'? or 'pilin ala pilin e sama'?
'tan seme LA'
'tenpo kama li lili e wawa pi pilin ni' (alt)

kulupu nimi pi sona wile. Sentence of knowledge (that is) desirable. A question.janKipo wrote:Make with him a phrase of intentional wisdom for a friend?
Edits in bold, added a gloss.
Re: He's driving me up the wall...
I would have said 'wile sona' but would be hard pressed to explain why (I think it may be a verb-obj thing). I like the idea though.
'tempo kama la kama lili e pilin wawa' needs a subject -- what will diminish the strong feeling. maybe what I had or 'plilin wawa li kama lili' ("the strong feeling will diminish") or other variants. x li lili e y means "x makes y grow small/less / diminishes y"

sina pilin E seme [about this]
mi wile ala wile toki tawa ona taso [anu] mi wile ala wile toki tawa ona pi poka jan pona ona
Still don't have a firm "about" -- but I hope it isn't 'tawa'. I'm not sure how to join two full sentences with 'anu'. Maybe
'mi wile toki tawa ona taso anu tawa ona pi poka jan pona ona' Some of the discussion around 'anu' makes it sound like an inherent choice question.
