POS expansion for certain words to become conjunctions

Post by janMato »

I'm currently working on learning American Sign Language (ASL), tan ni la jan lili sin li kama.

And mi kama lukin e lipu ni: it's a page about ASL "conjunctions", which are surprisingly based on the words "wrong", "frustrate", "hit", "find", "happen", "finish". The convey that a new sentence is starting and they convey some information that is kind of like verbal aspect. For example, "wrong" when put in the place of where "and" would be, means "and suddenly"

It's a pity I'm too short on time to think up what a toki pona-like example might look like.

Presumably, you are learning ASL because the baby impends, rather than tother way round. I suppose that should be 'tawa ni', but that doesn't look right either. Maybe that whole chunk needs a rethink.
