toki pona mantra

Post by janMato »

(cross posted from Facebook's toki pona group)

I was speculating on what a toki pona matra would be. The Hindu ones were based on so called seed-syllables (I'm not sure how they were derived), and weren't necessarily words, but they were attributed meaning, as if those seed syllables mean that in all words where the syllable appeared. (a lousy example, the seed syllable for silly is sil, there for syllable on a mystical level is some how silly) So what would be the seed syllables for toki pona? What would be a good toki pona matra?

Well, if I take your example of taking the start of the word, I could make this...

alipotami (or, instead of mi, just drift off with an mmm sound)
(ali li pona tawa mi)
lolipotami (you could probably say loipotami instead)
(lon li pona tawa mi)

Ultimately , just have fun with the ideas and sounds I suppose :)
ale li pona. :)
sina o sona e ni.
