Re: Use "seme la" as a yes/no question marker

Besides, he totally ignored that Sonja has already explained the issue and that therefore there is no need to keep misreading la-phrases like he does, plus misinforming his audience about what is and is not official Toki Pona. toki! My lessons are based on the lessons of jan Pije and the book of So...

Re: Use "seme la" as a yes/no question marker

toki! We have established the following: In pu it is not written on page 52 or anywhere else that a la-phrase can start with a preposition. Let's look at the example of jan Tepan. "mi pali tan ni." -> "tan ni la mi pali." In his opinion, "tan" is a preposition here. We ...

Re: Use "seme la" as a yes/no question marker

On which page in pu is it written that you can start la-phrases (conditional-phrases) with a preposition? Page 52. Sorry, but there is no indication in pu that a preposition can be at the beginning of a la-phrase. Please do better research! "tan" is a noun here: tan seme la soweli wawa pi...

Re: First time here. A couple questions...

It can be confusing though for somone who reads your modifications/additions to Toki Pona as gospel, and it is certainly irritating for someone who tries to keep the official Toki Pona book apart from the jan nasa that there are out there. I already told you that describing your own conlang and pre...

toki!

Please read pu page 52. Furthermore, I had explained that not all phrases in front of the separator "la" can be shifted after the preposition "lon" or after the intrasensitive Vern "lon".

Re: First time here. A couple questions...

Also, there is no comma before a preposition, and there is no consensus that "lupa" means "to pierce". (It's worth trying it out though, yet there is no consensus, and there is no "the verb 'lupa'".) The official dictionary says: "NOUN door, hole, orifice, window&...

Re: Use "seme la" as a yes/no question marker

Mind that "x la ..." is no different from "... lon x", toki! That's not accurate. The (compound) noun of the prepositional object after the prepostion lon or the (compound) noun of the indirect object after the intransitive verb lon can in some cases be placed before la with nea...
