Re: ...in front of me...
Your choice, but there's nothing to learn. Click "Code", type as normal, use tabs or spaces. No code at all. If you ever want to format something.

Re: ...in front of me...
Code: Select all
The best way to retain formatting
might be to use code
It should allow tabs
and preceding spaces
and white space

Re: sitelen sitelen emoji?
Ah, perhaps I will ask some questions when my vocabulary starts forming itself into sentences...
Thanks for your comments, I see that you contribute a large amount here. Hopefully I will be able to read some of it fairly soon, now that I know the root words.

Re: sitelen sitelen emoji?
Already have a project in mind!8-)
While I have you on the line, is there a place with a more in depth discussion (in English) of the simplicity philosophy (other than full Buddhism) that informs the words and grammar of toki pona?

Re: sitelen sitelen emoji?
I meant to suggest making new emoji images out of the mayan-like shapes of sitelen sitelen (is that the proper name?) so that they could be accessed in keyboards as if they were emoji. Looking a little further it looks like some phone apps can do it, but I haven't actually started trying yet. I real...

sitelen sitelen emoji?
I know it's not supposed to be linear, but emoji could be cool. I see some emoji creators but I have never tried to use them or add emoji libraries to my keyboard. I wouldn't know where to start, but I would be happy to do the tedious parts if it would help. I'm not doing anything else...

Re: sitelen suwi
Oh, but I should mention, jan Josan, that the transition to lesson three was confusing to me. I was concentrating so hard on syllables I forgot there would be word glyphs, and I struggled fruitlessly to see how you made them out of syllable blocks. Of course it was also about 3:am 8-) "Here I i...

Re: nd-notation. How to count anything in tp?
Thanks janKipo. In that case I won't pursue the issue at this point, beyond saying that I can see the philosophical desire to keep numbers difficult to discuss - except when it interferes with helping other people. If someone needs 25 cans of soup, they should be able to ask for them. Of course, int...

Re: nd-notation. How to count anything in tp?
I'm sure this must have been discussed before, but why don't we use positional notation? We have 3 digits, that's better than binary. Won ala ala ala is 27.
I would prefer 5 digits so I can count on my fingers in one hand. In base 5, wan ala ala is 25. We just need words for three and four.
