Re: toki pi jan suli
If you mean the second sentence to be (part of) what Pome says, you should use : not . "Human will is a hard front (shield? obstacle -- a real guess?) for god" I don't see where this is going, so I don't have context yet. Human will is a bronze wall between him and God. "between"...

Re: Guidelines for an ideographic code
This is starting to move toward 2-D writing, where the relative placement of "words" is part of the message. And maybe that is a part of where 2-D should go.

Re: A range of possibilities
I'm not sure it is automatic (though it may be in these tp cases), since I have to fight (in English) daily with the questions of what opunctuation to use and what my choices mean. I asm not sure what counts for flavor (see the implications of punctuation coices in English). Very optimistic believer...

Re: sitelen linja en sitelen supa
Old questions: do you need a 'pi' before 'nanpa' in this construction? should the 'nanpa n' attach to 'nimi'? In this case, I think the answer tio the last is "No," but this is aesthetics. The first is still up for grabs, with cases on each side. 'toki tawa' looks like a good way to assign...

Re: Rebus in tp
Working backwards helps: in this case, 'on' has to be 'ona' (an advantage of a small vocab), so the l following is likely 'li' since nothing else will make this end as a sentence. But if that is a complete sentence ('lete' again is a sure thing), for the stuff before to be in the same sentence, it m...

Re: toki pi jan suli
Since I am not quite sure what is going on here, some of my remarks may be way out of line. tenpo pini la jan suli Pome li toki e ni. wile jan li sinpin kiwen tawa jan sewi. If you mean the second sentence to be (part of) what Pome says, you should use : not . "Human will is a hard front (shiel...

Re: Guidelines for an ideographic code
I suppose that 'li' la' and 'e' are the first to be compressed (not that there is much left to do), 'toki' and 'pona' follow soon after, and so on. I don't quite see the source of your symbols, however. You could, however now do some real rebus -- as, indeed, you suggest: writing 'pana' with the bre...

Re: A range of possibilities
tp uses punctuation for 1) ends of sentences (.?) 2) indicating that what follows is referent of an earlier 'ni' (:) and it has been suggested that commas be used a) to set off 'la' phrases and b) to set off prep phrases. None of these are very tasty but most of them are handy for understanding what...
