Re: toki! mi jan Natan.

I either don't understand your argument, or I simply don't believe it.

...in front of me...

Struggling to figure out how to say "I have many papers in front of me." (or words to that effect). Best I have been able to do is: 1. lon mi sinpin li ni: lipu mute OR 2. lon sinpin mi li ni: lipu mute Meaning: At my front is this: many papers. Not sure if "lon" is allowed to be...

Re: Toki Pona and ISO 639

We are several years down the track now.
The fan/user base of Toki Pona has grown. (Or is that an assumption on my part?)
Is there any hope now of Toki Pona being granted an ISO code?
Or is that still a pipe dream?

Re: Testing some things...

So if not "moku mute", what then?

What about "...awen moku..." as "..."continue to eat..."?

And instead of "...sina suli", maybe "...sina kama suli" as "you become fat"?

Re: toki! mi jan Natan.

So I looked at pu again re: adjectives and names. Page 37/38 says: Proper names behave as adjectives. Use them after a noun that describes what they are. Example given is: nimi mi li Apu My name is Apu. This, as mentioned by jan Kipo above is incorrect However, on page 20, under grammar, it states: ...

Re: toki! mi jan Natan.

jan Kipo, Read post about 'nimi' ( http://tpnimi.blogspot.com.au/2016/03/tp-faq-2-how-do-i-answer-nimi-sina-li.html?m=1 ). In English, at least according to everything I have read, a person's name is a noun . So why then, do you say ( Are you the only one? ) a person's name in toki pona is an adject...

toki! mi jan Natan.

toki! mi jan Natan. Or should that be nimi mi li Natan? pu says the latter, yet I see the former in use often. After reading http://www.suburbandestiny.com/?p=799 , I believe my aim will be to use toki pona as the original, simple, way of communication set out in pu. (If I want to speak, write or th...
