Re: как сказать "кровь" на тп? --> telo suno = blood

janpona o, according to the Official Book, "pi" links two noun phrases. Therefore "tomo pi lon lete" would read like "house of cold location" (which coincidentally seems to make sense, but you have to read "lon" as a noun and "lete" as an adjective, ...

Re: Sitelen pona glyphs for new and apocryphal words

jan Same o, beautiful! :) It took me a while to recognize that your sitelen pona for "kipisi" is the division sign. :D I first thought it's "lon" with a dot below. "namako", which is very original, could be "sin" with three strokes above (as in "toki"...

Re: lukin e nanpa mute

I was casually ruminating about day and month names today, partly because Japanese is so boring in that regard (although I have a list of antique Japanese month names somewhere, usually they just number the months). It occured to me (this week) that the days of the week are being expressed in Chine...

Re: Full and Empty

If lupa = "empty", then lupa ala = "not empty", though that would not necessarily mean that it is "full" (it is just not empty). Just as if pini = "full", then pini ala = "not full", though that would not necessarily mean that it is "empty"...

Re: Drive

jan Natan o, I drive a car. — mi lawa e tomo tawa. mi tawa e tomo tawa. — I move the car. mi tawa tomo tawa. — I'm going towards the car. I drive away the animal. — mi weka e soweli. (also "mi tawa weka e soweli" and "mi lon weka e soweli" should work.) mi kama weka e soweli. — I...

Re: lukin e nanpa mute

jan Loje o, here is my attempt: - tenpo suno esun nanpa wan = tenpo suno mun (Monday) - tenpo suno esun nanpa tu = tenpo suno pi mun seli (Tuesday) - tenpo suno esun nanpa mute = tenpo suno pi mun telo (Wednesday) - tenpo suno esun nanpa tu tu = tenpo suno pi mun kasi (Thursday) - tenpo suno esun na...

Re: "nostalgic longing for my childhood walks in the woods with my dog Shadow"

jan Loje o,

I'd try this:

mi tawa lon nasin.
ona li lon anpa pi lipu kasi sin.

With a little liberty: lipu kasi sin li lon supa ona.
("fresh leaves are on it's 'bed'.")

or: lipu kasi sin li len ona. / len ona li lipu kasi sin.
("fresh leaves are its cloths.")

mi tawa.

Re: Full and Empty

jan Natan o,

I perceive "lupa" as "empty" (and "hollow"), too. "full" would be "lupa ala" then. "jo e ala" might work, too.

"pona"

Re: Fluency

toki, To me, "toki telo" sounds like "liquid language", because "telo" is "fluid", not "flowing". Therefore, "tawa" should be used. But "toki tawa" sounds like "moving language" but communication should always be directe...
