Re: Change in administrator on the way

O)n the other hand (as noted), it is a philosophy of constant change and so supports the constantly changing language. But not, of course, a conscious, thought-out, change (as we are wont to do) but a natural development, where the bottom rises and the top subsides (whatever those are in languages)...

Re: Change in administrator on the way

What I mean by that is what toki pona is, is different to everyone who uses it (a very bad thing when trying to talk about "what toki pona needs"). As a language, toki pona is unfinished. As a game, or a toy of some sort, toki pona works just fine. This also explains why changing anything...

Re: sitelen nasin sin mi pi toki pona:

Well, when computer writing systems are the norm, then I would recommend them, but, for now, I stick with the current norm. I would suggest different systems for places with different norms except that the Latin alphabet seems to have found some role almost everywhere and it is best to keep things ...

Dotsies

i saw a lot of script suggestions and suggested something myself, but this one is probably the best: http://dotsies.org/ just a few quotation from that page, specially for jan Kipo Dotsies is a font that uses dots instead of letters. The latin alphabet (abc...) was created thousands of years ago, an...

Re: sitelen nasin sin mi pi toki pona:

This is a fascinating discussion, but is getting a little beyond the scope of this forum. Is there a place to argue about historical trends, etc.? well, go to "ijo ante", if you wish I agree that there may be characteristics of a conlang that would require (or, at least, make highly advan...

Re: Change in administrator on the way

Toki pona is currently unfinished at least in terms of proper usage of prepositional phrases; it has some open issues which must be addressed before we can define what classical toki pona is. the defining the current version as a classical one is independent on open issues. it depends on change of ...

Re: Change in administrator on the way

You could publish books, do whatever you want. Toki Pona would be all yours. toki pona is yours and no one else could own this. the ...

Re: sitelen nasin sin mi pi toki pona:

I suspect the overlap is more than a little bit, but, in any case, yes, a mandatory conscript is off-putting to a number of people who might otherwise be attracted to a conlang (though it might attract a very few who might otherwise not be attracted). it depends on the script. the most common motiv...
