Re: toki musi pi tenpo mun ali tawa jan pi toki pona
If you want to create a newsletter, I would recommend doing it online in a format similar to a blog. Since there would be multiple authors, I don't know if a blog would work; (I think a blog only allows 1 contributor). You could use a wiki like Wikia, http:/tokipona.wikia.comwiki/lipu_lawa (which al...

Re: Draft one of toki pona lesson for twitter
jan Mato o, toki. Have you been tweeting (or whatever it is called) these tp lessons out? And did I miss them because I know next to nothing about twitter except for the toki lili variant? I had forgotten about this project until a recent post about Spanish tweets jogged my memory. http://forums.tok...

Re: toki ali o... en ijo ante mute
I usually use the official system that jan Sonja proposed and write them as if they are roman numerals. So my age is MLLLTT. The Roman numeral system falls apart at about about 150 or 300 or so. I like your idea of putting jan Sonja's official advanced number system, in roman numeral format (but wi...

Re: Draft one of toki pona lesson for twitter
Ok, I worked my way thru the rest of your Twitter messages. #tokipona Grammar. X li N e Y. This means X makes Y into N (a noun). jan li soweli tomo e soweli. Man domesticates it. I didn't know this. I would have had trouble figuring out this translation. #tokipona Grammar. Verb phrases additional ve...

Re: am I doing this right? [total beginner]
Hi tetA, Welcome to the world of TP. I have been doing TP for about 2 years now. Learning the basics of the language is relatively easy; learning to translate other people's writing takes more time and practice. There was a discussion here a few months back on how long it took people to learn TP. Th...

Re: Draft one of toki pona lesson for twitter
Great idea. Great start. It is going to take me some time to wade thru this, but here are my comments so far: > #tokipona Grammar. toki pona is an analytic, isolating language. Its all phrases and 1 morpheme per word. Will the general reader know what these words mean? What do you mean by all phrase...

Re: ma tawa lon ma Nijon
Thanks for the comments.
I need to learn the new words such as alasa !
Yes, I definitely got the 'lon' backwards.
I like to use sinpin as 'wall' in addition to it's other meanings, and supa as 'horizontal surface'.

Re: best way to learn?
The basic structure of a toki pona sentence is:
Condition la Subject li Verb e Object Prepositional-Phrase, where P-P is adverbial.
The Condition before the subject, the Object and the P-P are optional.
The Subject and Verb are required.
