A priori numbers

Hello. I am jan Li (sorry for miswriting), and maybe I am one of those nasa people. I asked myself: "Does any a priori number exist?" I think it would be nice to have names for these two numbers, and I am explaining why. Seven: the maximum number a human can "visualize" is seven ...

Re: A range of possibilities

If using Japanese Kanas, i purpose Katakana for tp words and Hiragana for proper adjectives. I also liked the idea of writing without spaces. In this case, one could use Hiragana for the first syllable and Katakana for the others. But then, what about proper adjectives? I really don't like the idea ...

Rebus in tp

During lessons, my classmate and I used to write rebus for each other. We wrote sentences following these rules: - no spaces; - omit non-starting vowels. For example: ILKTKPNALT. Is this possible in Toki Pona? Which are the optimal rules to write secret sentences - i.e., not too obscure nor too simp...

:-) What if a proper name has a meaning?

I wished to translate a proper name which has a meaning in its own language. Qoelet (latin Ecclesiastes) = man in charge of the assembly. jan Kole doesn't expain the meaning. jan Jankulupu repeats ja, but seems better. jan Kulupu doesn't make clear which the meaning of the name is. jan Jan-Kulupu or...

Re: A range of possibilities

I think this: if Toki Pona had originated before its writing system, it would use a syllabic or ideographic writing system. There is another good reason: I would like writing Japanese a lot.

Re: Rebus in tp

The idea behind it is that one should know the context, expecially concerning the no-spaces rule. I originally did this in Italian, and it works very good. For transmission or sms it would be awful. Maybe it is for lack of English mastery, but I really can't understand your English sentence. ante la...

Re: A range of possibilities

And maybe Hangul would be the best choice. Concerning Japanese i thought this. One could use Hiragana for the first syllable and Katakana for the next. The beginning of a sentence and the beginning of a proper adjective are marked by particular signs (e.g. a horizontal or vertical line throught the ...
