I have found that with this forum there are a number of experienced TP members who have been very helpful in correcting my TP posts. Why try something else, when this is working?
On the other hand, lang-8 could provide some additional publicity for TP.

Re: Practicing translating other people's texts
i dont mean to criticise jan Fridman, but it seems he has some problems with transitive verbs I've been having some problems with transitive and intransitive verbs myself. The funny thing is, I never had these problems before I started studying toki pona! 3 years of studying Latin and a couple of y...

Re: Olympic games
Thank you for your corrections and explanations. I am posting the updated version on my google site.
The discussions of complements and modals are still confusing to me, not being a linguist, but I am learning more each day!

non-time related conditionals using la
I am trying to learn some of the other idioms using 'la' besides the ones for time. Here is my current list, mostly gleaned from jan Kipo's spreadsheet. ante la - otherwise, on the other hand, on the contrary ike la - unfortunately kama la - afterwards, later ken la - maybe kin la - likewise, simila...

Essential Words to Know when Travelling
I found an interesting post on the following outdoor camping blog: http://blog.cheaptents.com/essential-travel-words-phrases/ The entry discusses what words should compose a hypothetical 100 word world language for traveling. The article also mentions toki pona. I have listed the words in the articl...

Re: I have some ideas to say complex numbers
Sonja has just given us advanced number words a few months ago for 20 = mute and 100 = ali. Let's not mess with these words for 20 and 100. Down the road, I would like to see new words for 1000, 10,000, etc. maybe based on metric system roots. But for now, I just want to see Sonja's book come out to...

Re: Add a word for drug/medicine
I am hoping that the absence of 'noka' at http://en.tokipona.org/wiki/Category:Toki_Pona_words is just an oversight. How do I walk without my 'noka'? The basic body parts need to be in toki pona. https://aiki.pbworks.com/f/TokiPonaBodyParts.jpg They can take my 'noka' when they pry them from my cold...
