Looking back on my notes, it took me about 40 days to memorize all the words and make my way through jan Pie's lessons, repeating them as necessary, until I understood them. I spent on average, about 45 minutes per day studying toki pona, so that means it took me about 30 hours to 'learn' toki pona....

The basic structure of a toki pona sentence is:
Condition la Subject li Verb e Object Prepositional-Phrase, where P-P is adverbial.
The Condition before the subject, the Object and the P-P are optional.
The Subject and Verb are required.

Yes, I definitely got the 'lon' backwards.
I like to use sinpin as 'wall' in addition to it's other meanings, and supa as 'horizontal surface'.
