Re: nimi sin sin (eĉ plu novaj vortoj, even more new words)

I worry that 'pu' may be for the uncarved block that Winnie was the the of (see The Tao of Poo and The Teh of Piglet). Outside technical Daoism, I'm not sure that notion has a lot of play. But ten, I have only so far seen the word mentioned, not used. I miss the April 1 word, too -- though not from ...

Re: A range of possibilities

Well, it won't do for everyday, but it would help on toki lili, where I keep running over my 140 character limit. Can you standardize the correspondences and still keep a little room for typo correction?

Re: jan Kikamesi. jan lawa pi ma tomo Uluku

Hmm! I wish I could find a case that was not immediately challenged. I think it should be OK, even if it needs a 'pi' to declare its status (which it may not, of course).

Re: jan Kikamesi. jan lawa pi ma tomo Uluku

I think my first choice would be 2d: 'jan pi sama jan Kikamesi' attaching a prepe phrase to a noun phrase. Failing that, 2+3. Probably 'jan pi utala soweli' "man who fights animals" , not "beastly soldier" and remember (or become aware of) 'alasa' for "hunt" My inclinat...

Re: jan Kikamesi. jan lawa pi ma tomo Uluku

Good, 'kama' is out of the 'tawa' class. And now we have "after several days" to add to 'for several days" and "several days ago". The pre-'la' area, at least with 'tenpo' needs some work. I'm not used to 'alasa' yet either and it may not survive, but if we don't use it, it ...

Re: Disyllabic Names

Well, two syllables are the first to be truly distinctive for a reasonable sized group and still short enough to be memorable. I expect, as tpers get more numerous, we will see more longer ones, maybe not many Sowelilili for a while (she could be a Anjo, after all) , be several trisyllabics. Also, t...

Re: jan Kikamesi. jan lawa pi ma tomo Uluku

Let's try to do it without explicit 'after'. unpa jan pi utala SOWELI ['pi' needs two words after it] en jan Sanka li tawa weka. tenpo mute lili la [this means "several times, frequently" I still don't know who to say "after some time") ona li kama tawa ma supa. ona li lon ma pi ...

Oh, and don't need 'li' after last 'sina'.

Re: Disyllabic Names

Hell, I couldn't figure out mine if I didn't know it. But I do admit to being curious, since I can't think of a name that gives that (Bush? nah!).
