Re: jan Kikamesi. jan lawa pi ma tomo Uluku
As Chuang tzu says (after dreaming of being a butterfly)"I no longer know whether I am Chuang Chou dreaming of being a butterfly or a butterfly dreaming of being Chuang Chou" tp philosophy in action. But I think that it is still OK to say 'mi lukin e lukin(sitelen/toki/...) lape' for "...

Re: jan Kikamesi. jan lawa pi ma tomo Uluku
Well, this English speaking colleague probably wouldn't accept the calque, had he known it was one. But then, insisting that they have different words is probably a calque (so to speak) of English (and most European languages I can think of - Romance and Germanic). This sort of thing will be more an...

Re: jan Kikamesi. jan lawa pi ma tomo Uluku
Brilliant example of the problem. I might have tped it as 'wile pi jan Mewika' (certainly would have after this) but I might have gone off on a tangent, maybe not 'lape' (or maybe), but something about ideals and the like (pilin sewi?).

ona li ala jan ike tawa sina "They are evilly human nothings to you" (zombies?) '...li jan ike ala tawa...' ja[k]n o kama jan sama tawa mi Actually clearer without 'tawa' which makes it look like "Come to me. my brother." though invalidly. Nice -- but I wish it was easier to kiss.

Re: Comments on esun
Well, 'kijetasantakalu' (or whatever) was a joke (dated April 1 and all) and I hope is not really going to turn up in anything tp (I suppose 'soweli Kinkasu' and the like might get in here in some way, but ...). I see the entry on 'esun' (like most of the entries at this time) to be very incomplete,...

Re: jan Kikamesi. jan lawa pi ma tomo Uluku
Thank you. It wouldn't be possible without your help. Thank you for the interesting material (and for your thanks, too). ona li ken ala tawa wawa. Interesting! I might prefer 'kama' to 'tawa' (which is overworked I would rather keep it, because "tawa" is about general movement, ability to...
