Re: Showing necessity or obligation in Toki Pona
Presumably, if 'wile' comes from someone's desire, 'ken' comes from someone's permission or indifference. I think calling this intuitions/constructivism is stretching matters a bit.

Re: convention for lipu toki pi pana (letters)
There is much to be said for the ancient system "Gaius Tullius Cicero to Gaius Julius Caesar , Greetings". . In tp that comes out as something like 'Jan Silipu li pana e ni tawa Jan Mato. Toki'. Paul and others tended to elaborate on both names and on the greeting, but the basic pattern re...

Re: questions in double:sentences
I don't understand the second example, which seems to say "Who knows that a man dances" '(reading 'seme' for 'semi'). I suppose we have to put the "how to" in somewhere: 'mije seme li sona e nasin ni: ona li tawa musi' or the like. The third is obscure. I guess that my having mon...

Re: How to say: "We are humans and we are from Earth"
I guess a planet is strictly a mun, but it is not clear how much we can rely on this apparently interplanetary message. For example, would not a speaking species on any planet claim that they are jan, persons? Even if we thought of them as akesi?

If I had a nickel forever final version of a conlang, I would be wealthy indeed. At best the book will catch up to the state a little before the book was published. Then it will go on in its own way. The final version is always paleoglottology and, if that report of a dead language catches on, the l...
