Some missing words
So I've been fluent in toki pona for at least 4 years. I've used it to write a fair amount of stories and poems. But I've run into a few problems with the vocabulary I don't think have been touched on yet. The senses category lacks smell and taste. There isn't any way to describe flavor beyond sweet...

Re: Some missing words
You need to be carefui about the difference between "no word for" and "no way to say". The words are indeed missing, but in many cases there is an established way to say, often several. They may be inadequate in various ways, but you are always free not to use them and to devise ...

Some questions on Asian writing systems
Has anybody come up with a definitive list of hanzi/kanji, or a way to write the missing syllables (je, we, wi) in kana yet?

Re: Some questions on Asian writing systems
Well, I have Digamma for the Greek w (since I can't see a better option), so why not?
Is there a list for what kanji work best for toki pona though? I've come across at least four different lists of hanzi and kanji on here.

Re: German textbook & new book proposal
That would be pretty awesome. We've been needing new lessons for a while now. Right now, it's just learn from jan Pije's lessons (is that what you mean by book, or is there one I don't know about?) and then come here and learn the new words and usages. It'd be great if everything could be centralize...

Re: Some missing words
That would be a good idea, actually. It would add easy ways to express more concepts, and add meanings to underused words. After all, how often do we even use the color words here?

Has anyone even heard anything from jan Sonja lately?
I haven't seen her on here since the last IRC post, and no updates to the wiki in close to a year (though I don't bother to check anymore).
