Re: musi “Pokemon” kepeken toki pona

From the tp point of view, 'Pokemon' is an unofficial word (whether it really deserves to be one is another question) and, so, an adjective which must always (well, ....) be preceded by a noun giving it genus. Just what the genus of Pokemon is (or genera are) is not the problem here. Of course, ther...

Re: la phrases

There is more organized material on 'la' phrases on tpnimi.blogspot.com. This discussion seems backwards to me, being about whether you can import NPs from a 'la' to a PP at the end, after 'lon'. The terminal PPs. are primary, part of the basic sentence, to which 'la' phrases are peripheral. The sit...

Re: Whistled Toki Pona

An interesting code, but not something that grows -- as whistling codes in natural languages do -- from the base language itself. tp doesn't have tones, on stress and less stress, so that can't be a source for a whistle. All two-syllable worshippers have the same stress pattern and so on. It might b...

Re: toki!

Since Lope ( and, I think, Tepan) don't see my comments, this pretty pointless, but the discussion seems a bit muddled. As far as I can make out, Lope is maintaining that only sentences can go before 'la', except for prepositional phrases beginning with 'lon', in which case the 'lon' is always dropp...

Re: toki! mi jan kulupu sin!

OK, but I don't do poetry: no sense of meter, rhyme, metaphor or anything else you need for poetry. Again, try Facebook, which has several songwriters. (Of course, I am not the only person here but it often seems like it.)

Re: toki! mi jan kulupu sin!

jan Tanjele o, kama pona tawa toki pona. sina ken wile e nimi sina. nimi pi lon sinpin li pilin mi taso. This is a pretty good place for longish discussions and for presenting polished works, like translations or stories. But to really get into the language, you should probably get on the toki pona ...
