Re: o kama sona e toki pona!

Now more or less officially yet another dialect, the ‘poka’/‘lon poka’ divide. So far as i can tell, the bulk of the community of long standing is on the ‘poka’ side but understands the ‘lon poka’ position. More recent members follow Sonja’s revised position (‘lon poka’) and ignore her older one (‘p...

Re: Proposed revision to Chinese character set

The discussion of ‘supa’ seems to be that for ‘tan’, which is missing.

Re: o kama sona e toki pona!

Well, “with” was ‘lon poka’ for a while and then changed to just ‘poka’ by Sonja, of course, In pu she uses ‘lon poka’again, ignorig her own objections to it and nowhere explaining the reversion (NOT updating). The community standard is ‘poka’. The right place for adjectives is unsolved and we just ...

soweli utala, o! Battle Sheep! . As noted, if you are not addressing them, ‘o’ is wrong. If you are addressing them, don’t put a comma be for the ‘o’. If not, use ‘a’. btw ‘mani’ will do as well (or better) for sheep, if the scansion allows. soweli utala, o! Battle Sheep! soweli wawa mute, o! Power...

Re: How do you say/translate this word/phrase into Toki Pona?

‘mi moku’ is correct in general, but if you need for some reason to make the plurality explicit, then only ‘mi mute li moku’ is correct.

Re: o kama sona e toki pona!

‘poka’ v ‘lon poka’. ‘lon poka’ means "by the side of, next to” with ‘poka’ a noun object of ‘lon’ and so needing a pi to attach a two word phrase that means what we would take as the object of “next to” ‘lon poka pi jan pona mi’. ‘poka’ , on the other hand, is a preposition meaning “with, acco...

Re: How do you say/translate this word/phrase into Toki Pona?

“dog” often ‘soweli tomo’ or ‘soweli’pona’ or ‘soweli wawa’ ‘soweli alasa’ works, too, though that is more clearly “hound” “cat” ‘soweli pi linja uta’ is pretty standard for some reason (well, it’s cute) “doctor” that but also ‘jan pi pona pakala’ and the like “pizza” ‘pan sike loje’ and many more “...

Boringly 'sina jo e tenpo la temp mute la ona li tawa weka.' But that doesn’t,t get to deeper meaning, which I can't seem to formulate. Maybe, 'sina pilin e ni: sina jo e tenpo suli la sina kepeken sona ala ona.'

Re: mi jan Sanje

Just 'tenpo sike'
'Kanse', the/r/ overrides the/f/ and is velar in French, so /k/.
'Toki insa' is thinking things through, opinions are ,pilin".
