Re: I'm updating my Toki Pona lessons and I'm looking for good text examples

There is no example in the Official Book for nested pi-phrases. The goal of Toki Pona is simplicity. Keep Toki Pona as simple as possible! Nested phrases are not simple. For a better understanding see the languages of the Pirahã. This language has some similarities to Toki Pona and has no recursion...

Re: I'm updating my Toki Pona lessons and I'm looking for good text examples

Where do you get the information that "li"-phrases can be nested? Several "li"-phrases blong to the subject and not to other "li"-phrases. Or with other words: a verb phrase can only belong to the noun phrase and not to an other verb phrase. Commas before or after an o...

Re: I'm updating my Toki Pona lessons and I'm looking for good text examples

jan Lope o, toki! Congratulations on your grammar! You have just been quoted from it on Facebook, and so I had the opportunity to take a look at it. I have an urging question: in "Several pi-Phrases for one Compound Noun" you leave out the comma in "kulupu pi kalama musi→,← pi ma Inli...

Re: meli lili pi len loje

toki! Thanks for your help jan Tepan. You're welcome! :) I'm trying to take a look again... You don't need quotation marks in "sike suno nanpa “2017”". (suggestion) Ah... "moku li →kama← anpa" (suggestion) Wouldn't "pilin monsuta" be clearer than "monsuta"? &...

You can find it here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1SLofeaJqmyZkxsSE4zTktFcWc (Edit: I've changed the link, I just corrected a small error) What do you think? Is it okay? I just want to check that everything's good bef...

Re: New font for sitelen pona : LINJA PONA

So what do you think ? pona ala pona ? :) pona mute! P.S.: I liked how you put the "musi" into "kalama musi". I wouldn't combine "tu" and "wan" into one symbol, because that would mean "one pair" (or "a one-ish two"), which is not "th...

Re: A question about "pi"

Toki! I'm not sure how to use pi, perhaps someone can help me. Here's what my problem is: bar = tomo pi telo nasa your bar = ? (tomo sina pi telo nasa maybe?) Also, for clarification: tomo pi telo nasa pi laso jelo = a green bar? (not a bar serving green drinks (absinthe, I guess.)) toki! The Offic...

Re: Hot topics

So yes, "lili" in "lili pona" is a noun, but it can be translated as an adjective: "small (enough)" For me, two words are composing a NA-templet (noun adjective), therefore, in my understanding, it is forbidden -- the first word "can be translated as an adjective&...
