Re: Job 1.1-10 translation

Thoughts? - Can 'tan seme' mean 'from where', or would it rather be taken as 'why' in any context? I try 'tan nasin seme'...

toki! 2. jan Jope li kama jo e jan lili mije tu tu tu wan e jan lili meli tu wan. 3. ona li jo e soweli mani mute e jan pali mute. ona li suli mute lon ma pi kama suno. ... - I am a bit unsure about how to use 'ona' unambiguously. Ex., in 3., does it refer unambigously to Job, since he is the subje...

Re: nasin toki pi toki pona

toki! I updated my Toki Pona grammar — nasin toki pi toki pona . I did some clean-up and switched to English only and I put more focus on the dictionary. (Basically, the grammar section's purpose is to explain how to read the dictionary properly.) I apologize for any typos and inconsistencies. I sti...

For instance, a couple of hours ago, I was thinking about how one would say a known person in Toki Pona. I firs...

Re: "Going" questions

A beginner here trying to get my head around some things. 1) Going multiple places. I know there’s no e after tawa, so does it work like this? ona li tawa esun tawa tomo mi. toki, jan Sali o! You can say: ona li tawa esun li tawa tomo mi. And you can also say (why not?): ona li tawa esun, tawa tomo...
