Toki! mi kin li sin tawa toki pona. tenpo suno luka luka pini la(is that how you say 10 days ago?) mi kama e kama sona e toki pona. toki ni li pona mute tawa mi!

I was using the first kama as "started", so: mi kama kama sona e toki pona.

Although it is a minor detail sama ni is the better way to say it. Most people would understand either form but sama by itself could potentially be confused as a modifier to Puta. Toki pona would not be the only language to have sentence structures that are mildly confusing to foreign speakers, and ...
