Re: Green Eggs and Ham
Definitely "green (eggs and ham)", going by the picture. "sina o tu e sina en mi"; this seems to be a translation of "You let me be!" But it's still a somewhat awkward wording; I'd probably translate it "(sina) o weka/tawa tan mi!" or some such thing. I'm too ...

Re: A couple of trends
I still don't get the "role is forced on it" thing... Where does this rule come from? As far as I'm concerned, something that means "little" in one modifying position can mean it in another. But then, I don't speak Loglan, and as far as I know Sonja doesn't either.

Re: A couple of trends
So, would you say that "jan pona lili" necessarily means "a few friends/good-people"? I don't see why "lili" has to mean "a few" in one place, and not in another. Actually, I never use it to mean "a few"; that's always "pi mute lili"; but t...

Re: A couple of trends
I know the last post on this thread was about a year ago, but it seems to still be relevant. Now, I have to give my disclaimer that my use of toki pona is primarily based on my gut feeling, which may or may not be English-influenced and may or may not be different from someone else's gut feeling. Bu...

Re: Crazy people want to change English
I would have started with a more restricted common word list, like maybe 5,000 or 10,000; what is an "abattoir" anyway? But I understand the idea that if you're trying to appeal to people who want something cool and foreign-sounding, but don't want to take the time and effort to learn a fu...

Re: nasin toki pi toki pona
Ha, I believe there is a typo here; you have both transitive verbs and prepositions being called "nimi monsi wawa". Might want to correct that. And neither of those seem very "monsi" to me... Thank you. I corrected that. nimi suli - verb nimi suli wawa - transitive verb nimi mon...

Re: nasin toki pi toki pona
nimi suli - verb ... nimi monsi - adjective/adverb nimi insa - preposition Update: I added transitive verbs ("nimi monsi wawa") and changed the name of prepositions, i.e. from "nimi insa" to "nimi monsi wawa". Bye! Ha, I believe there is a typo here; you have both tran...
