Re: LIPU LI LON!

I'm confused with the example on page 32: "What are you doing to her?"
I would write it as: sina pali e seme tawa ona?

Re: LIPU LI LON!

I just ordered my Toki Pona text book last night (along with a tablet computer for my birthday!). I figure I have spent so much time with this language since 2009 and have been awaiting the book for such a long time, I may as well buy it, even if it is missing some of the answers to fundamental gram...

Re: toki pona article on wikipedia up for deletion

There is no longer a banner at the top of the Wikipedia Toki Pona page indicating it is up for deletion. At the top of the Talk page it says: "This page was nominated for deletion on 15 March 2013 (UTC). The result of the discussion was keep." So does this mean the page stays? That's how I...

Re: toki pona article on wikipedia up for deletion

I updated the links to the Globe & Mail article and the LA Times article, so they are no longer broken.

Re: toki pona article on wikipedia up for deletion

I voted to Keep the article. I don't know if I have standing; I better - I've had a membership on Wikipedia for over 10 years.
I also added a section in the article on ROILA and gave a reference.

simple language lessons

Here is an idea for a course in toki pona, which I found on another conlang (Kah) site. Have multiple short lessons; maximum 8 or 10 new words per lesson. No grammar explanations, just a simple story. Story line builds as student gains more vocabulary. Story is not translated, just presented so the ...

Re: Change in administrator on the way

These are 2 links to some of the open issues that I was thinking about that should be resolved: http://forums.tokipona.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1251 http://forums.tokipona.org/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1181 If jan Sonja turns toki pona over to jan Mato and jan Kipo, this would be a good time to ad...

Re: Change in administrator on the way

toki pona is yours and no one else could own this. the best thing we could do after your official resignation is to preserve "classical" toki pona as is, without introducing any new words, leaving all current problems as is. but everyone could develope his own derivate of tp as jan Kipo c...

Re: How to perfect ones Toki Pona?

Everytime I post anything to the Toki Pona community I get corrected. Often it is rules I did not know about, and I am quite curious to know how everyone have come to know about them. Are there any secret resources except Jan Pije's lessons or what's the deal? Or am I just totally irrational handli...

Re: jan pi toki pona li moli

I didn't know exactly where to put this, but I think it's relevent to our small group. The sad news is that one of our tokiponians has passed away. I happened upon the news checking the forums over at lernu! May he rest in peace. ona o lape pona. Amen mi wile ni: jan sewi li kama e mije ni tawa ma ...
