Re: toki pona lon sona pilin en sona ante

First I write the language, then I'll write the parser. I've written markup language parsers in flavors of BASIC for previous projects. Also some quick lookup from text translation aids in JavaScript. Any language with solid regexp routines and efficient hash (associative array) lookups will do. Fir...

Re: toki pona lon sona pilin en sona ante

Robots need a pretty concrete instruction set. As an experiment, I pushed the toki-pona/ROILA idea a step further and am working on a conlang "lomijo" with three vowels (iou), six consonants (jklmnp), strict CV, CVCV, CVCVCV a priori word list (pared to eliminate things like mimimi, pupupu...

Re: toki pona lon sona pilin en sona ante

The first classes in ROILA have concluded. High school students, two-week course, about 100 students in four classes met three times in class to practice together and play with Lobo the Robot (takes orders and converses in ROILA), studied during the week using online course in Moodle (using first 7 ...

Re: whither toki pona?

janKipo, my query is not intended to spark a controlling purpose for toki pona. I am merely interested in what motivations (or simply pleasure-center seratonin response) people may have for learning and enjoying toki pona. I am a dedicated Ido supporter for utopian and rational conlanguistic reasons...

whither toki pona?

What kind of future do you see for toki pona? Entry-level language used as tool for teaching language acquisition techniques? New-age religion or atheist (humanist) liturgical language? Secret language for teens and tweens? Texting tool? Linguistic sudoko for langfreaks? Entertainment for social gro...

Re: katatsuburi

TP also requires some elbow room to establish disambiguating context for statements evoking emotional or physical descriptions. I would think the limerick would offer a fertile form for toki pona poetry.

Re: toki pona as liturgical language

I like
nasin sewi pi sona jan

Spiritual Humanism is non-theist, based on reason, focused on the spirit of human connectedness. I know that's not Basic English, but it is very nasin sewi pi sona jan.
