Re: A range of possibilities

There is another good reason: I would like writing Japanese a lot. 新ら画え話語良使画カンシり良去私 しん ら してれん え とき とき ぽな けぺけん してれん カンシ リ ぽな たわ み sin la sitelen e toki toki pona kepeken sitelen Kansi li pona tawa mi. notice I used both 話 and 語 for 'toki'. The first is speak, the second is language. Using only hirag...

Re: ꄲꀎ! sitelen pona text on the internet.

There isn't enough to use it as a logographic script, & the needed syllables aren't all represented either, so there would need to be some adaptation as is done for other scripts e.g. for Japanese 'li' would be り(ri) because Japanese has no 'l' sound. ꅿ ꆹ ꄪꇺ ꁈꆅ. would be 'ni li toki pona.' using...

Japanese inspired dialect of toki pona

I've always liked the look of kanji (and toki pona seems to be inspired by Japanese anyway) so I created a language that is mostly toki pona, but with some of elements of Japanese & with a few changes to reduce ambiguity a little. It's still a WIP. The grammar & vocabulary are the same as to...

Re: Pale (minimalistic language without pronouns)

What kanji would you use since it is influenced by japanese? For example I would probably use 直 for lena (straight/direct) as well as 糸 for rope/thread/wire. Possibly even 棒 (long/hard) since there seems to be no equivalent in pale. For 'ma' I would use either ’ま’ (ma) or 達 (tachi) people would be 人...

Re: Writing Toki Pona in the Hebrew alphabet

I know some don't like diacritics, but I prefer to actually attempt to transliterate toki pona's sounds to another script, when writing tp in another alphabet. with toki pona it makes perfect sense to me to write it in Semitic scripts since they leave a little ambiguity themselves because of omittin...

Re: mani anpa li pona

If "mani anpa" is supposed to be UBI, what about using "mani kin"? kin can mean 'indeed', so mani kin could be a way of saying 'guaranteed money' or money you are guaranteed to have. I know kin can apparently also be used for 'too' but that conflicts with 'sin la' which means als...

Re: Pale (minimalistic language without pronouns)

Is there a way to specify hard & soft, or as an example from toki pona is there an equivalent to palisa (long, hard) /kiwen (hard) & linja (long & flexible) or are they all just 'lena'? I assume 'tela' would be the equivalent to 'ko', right? I like some elements of this (mainly grammatic...

English to Arabic transliteration the main site, which this page links to at the top gives transliteration possibilities to (& from) other languages too like Japanese, Russian, Hebrew, & Greek. waso li tawa li lukin e moku sin pipi lili a! would be: وسو لی توا لی لوکن إ مکو سن !پپی للی أ wi...

Re: What do you think of these expressions?

I would translate snow as ko lete. Cloud is usually translated as kon walo. Mountain would be nena or nena suli. nena is any kind of a bump. nena kon would be the "bump" used for breathing air (kon). What is "lo"? Do you mean lon? I wouldn't use ma soweli/kala. I would use kulupu...

Re: ع - Arabic script for Toki Pona poetry

errh. Since Arabic has final ns, why not use them? And why are the final ns left off in the consonant-only spelling (which gives rise to the 'luka'/'lukin' confusion)? I don't know enough (anything) about Arabic writing to know of reasons for this omission. You could do what Arabic does & add a...
