Re: ع - Arabic script for Toki Pona poetry

errh. Since Arabic has final ns, why not use them? And why are the final ns left off in the consonant-only spelling (which gives rise to the 'luka'/'lukin' confusion)? I don't know enough (anything) about Arabic writing to know of reasons for this omission. You could do what Arabic does & add a...

Re: S. Plath, "Mije mama suwi"

"Mije mama suwi" should be "mama mije pi suwi". No caps, 'mama' first, & a 'pi' before the suwi. Other than that I would say the name is a good translation.

Re: A question to Buddhists

why not "weka" for empty or emptiness?
for form "selo" is a good translation or maybe "sijelo"(body/form)?
I wouldn't recognize "lupa" as empty if it saw it written, I would think an opening of some kind but I understand what they're getting at.

I hope that somebody with programming knowledge will be able to create one using these graphics. If you're out there, toki pona needs you! If you're even still following thi...

using 'anu seme' is reminds me of how Japanese forms questions by adding 'ka' at the end.

Re: ع - Arabic script for Toki Pona poetry

In toki pona there are two more vowels - e and o. o (on) could be marked exactly as u (un). e (en) is more difficult: in a first syllable it is like a (an), otherwise it is like i (in), i.e tenpo - طًبُ ken - كً kin - كٍ seme - صَمِ lete - لَطِ ala - عَلَ al(e/i) - عَلِ Now the hokku with full set ...

Re: ع - Arabic script for Toki Pona poetry

If you want a version without diacritics you can basically just use the Sorani Kurdish keyboard. I like the version with harakāt (diacritics) but haven't found a language/keyboard layout that lets me input the diacritics should I want to. The Kurdish version uses long vowels (full letters instead of...

why not use the opportunity to put some phrases/quotes/whatever on them written in linja pona? I don't know what you'd choose, but. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to come up with something.

Re: Word Idea For Triangle - Sanku

I honestly think we need to stop with trying to keep it at 120. "pu" is such an uneeded word, "esun" (in my opinion) could do with some revamping, and the kulupu already uses words that lipu pi toki pona (pu) says don't really count as words. Of course keeping it simple is great...
